If Quentin Tarantino considers it to be one of the best movies released in 2013, then it has to be something alluring, and Big Bad Wolves doesn't disappoint even for a micro-second. Big Bad Wolves got my attention ever since I saw the promos of the film, and after watching it,  I am impressed beyond words. It is one of those films that leaves you dumbstruck in the end - and you say to yourself WTF.

The film is a brilliant mix of thriller and dark comedy, and just when you feel the movie is turning to be violent and dark, it compensates with some hilarious dialogues or unexpected twists. The film doesn't have too many characters, and the script is very tight, which will keep you glued to your seat. The direction is praiseworthy, acting is even better, and the cinematography makes the movie a treat to viewers. The film is dark and violent, but the ingenious use of humor makes it different from other films in the genre.

The story is about a cop, a child killer, and a desperate father whose lives get intertwined with their vendetta in the end.

The direction by director duo Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado is exquisite as they do complete justice to their story. The acting is equally good, especially by Lior Ashkenazi, Rotem Keinan, and Tzahi Grad as the main characters in the film with Doval'e Glickman in a brief but crucial supporting role. The editing by Asaf Corman is delightful, and the cinematography by Giora Bejach adds finesse to the film.

A highly recommended film for fans of dark-comedy thrillers with excellent performances.
