Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is the magnum opus of DC animation universe that started with The Flashpoint Paradox in 2013, and the franchise couldn't have ended on a higher note than this. The film is like DC's response to Marvel's Avenger saga, and I solemnly wish that it was live-action and not animation, but that topic is for another time, and I hope to see it one day. Over the years, I have never been shy of words to express my love and admiration for the DC animation universe, which is perhaps one of the major milestones of DC comics in addition to its publication. Coming back to the film, it is a sequel to Justice League Dark released in 2017, but if you look at the bigger picture, then it is like an ultimate sequel to every DC animation film, and also happens to be the final film in the franchise. The final moments in the film hints a reboot on the lines of DC Rebirth. For a change, the creative team behind the film was a bit different than the usual set of people, although folks like Sam Register and Wes Gleason are attached to the project, the change is evident in the outcome, as it is one of the darkest films to come of WB animation. The animation is superficially brilliant, the voice cast remains the same as the previous films, with a respectful story. There are so many iconic DC characters in the film, and each one of them has been efficiently managed in the mix. The film is rated R, so there is plenty of violence in it, at the same time there are moments when you might get a little carried away with emotion. The story shows the Justice League confronts Darkseid for one last time after they are defeated and also losing some of their greatest heroes.  Director duo of Matt Peters and Christina Sotta have most worked in the art department of other DC animation projects before this film and what a way to make their directorial debut. The epic line up of voice cast marks their return for one final run unless they are called back in the future, or if DC animation decides to opt for new actors will be answered in due course.  The animation, sound, and visual effects are top-notch that takes the film to a new level, even exceeds expectations in many ways. Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is a must-watch film for DC fans, and if you have closely followed the animation universe, you cannot afford to miss this one.
